Grenada Citizenship by Investment

Grenada has cerulean blue sea beaches and lush foliage to match one of the Caribbean's most spectacular harbors. Grenada is an English-speaking parliamentary democracy with an English common law legal structure. The country's income taxes are progressive, beginning at 10%, and there are no taxes on international income, net worth, or inheritance. The corporate tax rate is 30%, and the VAT rate is 15%. With 145 countries, Grenada has visa-free travel arrangements. For Grenadian nationals, a treaty with the United States allows them to obtain a special E2 Visa after making a significant investment in a US company. Citizenship in Grenada Has Its Advantages

  • There is no such thing as net worth, inheritance, or international income tax.
  • The candidate, their children, spouse, and parents over the age of 55 are all granted full citizenship and passports, with the exception of dependent siblings or dependent children under the age of 30.
  • A passport that allows you to travel to 145 countries without a visa, including China, the EU, the United Kingdom, and other Caricom countries.
  • Dual Citizenship is not limited, and Citizenship by Descent is also available.
  • There is no requirement for a presence in the region.

What Does It Take to Become a Citizen?

Citizenship by Investment (CBI) will offer full citizenship and passport holder status to individuals who make a substantial monetary investment or donation while adhering to the rules set forth by Grenada's governing authority. There are currently two investment options available:

  • A minimum of $220,000 in US dollars in real estate property acquired from a government grant qualifies.
  • A non-refundable contribution to the National Transformation Fund beginning at $150,000

Option 1: Real Estate

This choice allows the applicant to buy a physical asset, such as a commercial or residential house. It can be used as a home office, a second home, a holiday home, or a rental income house. The land must be kept in good repair for at least three years. IRC will provide additional assistance with the acquisition of your ideal property due to its knowledge of the local real estate market. For your convenience, all recommended, eligible properties are handled.

The following are the current fees:

  • The minimum investment for a single applicant is $281,850.USD, which includes a minimum property purchase of $220,000.USD plus government, visa, and due diligence fees. The property's additional closing costs are variable.
  • The required investment for a family of four or more is $294,800.USD, which includes a minimum property purchase of $220,000 plus government, passport, and due diligence fees. Each additional dependent will be paid a fee of $25,000 if there are more than three. The property's additional closing costs are variable.

Option 2: National Transformation Fund

The NTF is a government-funded initiative aimed at diversifying the Grenadian economy. The emphasis is on advancements in the fields of oil, agriculture, and tourism.

The following are the current fees:

  • The minimum commitment for a single applicant is $160,375, which includes a donation to the NDF of $150,000.USD plus government, visa, and due diligence fees.
  • The minimum commitment for a family of four or more is $223,850.USD, which includes a donation to the NDF of $200,000 plus government, visa, and due diligence fees. Each additional dependent will be paid a fee of $25,000 if there are more than three.

Legal Requirements 

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old and in good health.
  • Applicants must not be involved in a criminal case or be considered a security or reputational threat.
  • Applicants must not be restricted from traveling to any of the 145 countries that do not need a visa.
